Integration of a CHP Unit into the Worcester County Jail
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerThis project analyzed the feasibility of using combined heat and power (CHP) units, owned by West Boylston Municipal Lighting Plant, to provide domestic water heating for the Worcester County Jail. Through a site visit and analysis of data from a flow meter, it was determined that two 75 kW CHP units would meet the heating demand. The fuel gas bills of the jail were used to analyze the carbon reduction and to create an estimated budget for the CHP project.
