2018 Formula SAE Race Car Electrical System
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerThis report presents the research, design, and construction of electrical systems necessary to develop a race car to compete in the Formula Society of Automotive Engineers 2018 competition held in Michigan. Three main electrical categories were required, namely critical vehicle systems, the FSAE- required safety systems, and the additional designs that added value to the vehicle. One of the primary objectives of this project was to design a wiring harness easily applicable to future WPI FSAE vehicles. For this reason, each electrical system was built to be modular for ease of replacement or replication.
