Effects of protein kinase A on the efflux of potassium ions
PublicThe potassium/chloride flux across the erythrocyte membrane is controlled by the KCI cotransport system. This project will demonstrate the involvement of Protein Kinase A with this cotransport system. When Protein Kinase A is inhibited, the potassium efflux is inhibited and when it is activated the potassium efflux from the erythrocyte increased via the KCI system.
