Incorporation of 3D Printing in STEM Curricula
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewer3D printing itself is not a brand new technology. The first 3D printer was invented in 1983 by Charles Hull. Until recent years the technology was mainly only available for industrial use. The first desktop 3D printer was created in 2001 by Solidimension. Since then the technology has become less and less expensive making it more available to the general public. Different methods for the use of 3D printers and other manufacturing technologies in educational settings were developed to further familiarize the engineers of tomorrow about useful technology.
