Fire Modeling in FLUENT
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerIn this project the possibility of using FLUENT, a commercial computational fluid dynamics software, for simple fire modeling is explored. FLUENT is widely used for numerous industrial fluid flow applications and could provide those familiar with the program a convenient way to run simple fire models. The team tested multiple methods for simulating a fire with various boundary conditions in FLUENT, including the built in combustion model and a more simplified approach utilizing a heat source.
