SATURDAY FEB. 28 1948 Sorting out all letters and destroying most. In afternoon Elise & I took the Conrads to Lyndon for the Blackhawk hike. We bought two gallons of maple syrup ($6.00 a gal.) that had been made today. The ice went out of the Rock river today. Elise and I went to the Birthday Club 18 there. Little Pooh feels miserable with chicken pox.
