The Development of a power source for a non-invasive glucose monitor
PublicVivaScan Corporation is developing a hand-held non-invasive glucose monitor. The project objective was to determine a portable power source for the device. Various power components were analyzed using pair-wise comparison charts, weighted pair-wise comparison charts, and numerical evaluation matrices. Various device components, including a 5-volt wall adapter, ISB power, two types of batteries, a battery charger, and four DC-DC converters, were selected and tested. The project provided an appropriate rechargeable battery power system.
