Feasibility study of the creation of a fiber-optic snake

Public

The theory, design, and construction of a digital, fiber-optic snake are discussed. A snake is a device used to transport multiple signals from one location to another. These devices typically have 16 channels/cables encased within one package. These devices are bulky and can be in lengths of over one hundred feet. This project is an attempt to improve upon the current design. The new design would save on costs and provide better signal transfer of multiple signals through the use of digital circuitry and fiber-optics.
