Muscular dystrophy is a disease that damages and weakens muscles over time, making it difficult to perform everyday tasks. It affects nearly 250,000 people in the United States alone. Playing musical instruments, which requires fine motor control, is in many cases out of reach for those with DMD. Utilizing multiple servo motors, guide rails, discrete electronic components, a microcontroller, and a bluetooth tablet application, this project aims to allow those with DMD or other physical disabilities to express their own musical creativity through the bass guitar.
