266 TUESDAY 91° September 23 Clear Sent a poem book with old pictures to Percy. With Dr Taylor left for Chicago at 4 P.M. and then on to Toledo. Hot on train ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WEDNESDAY. Worthley, Strong, Caffrey, Gray, Arby, Dunlap, Mallott all there. About 150 present. It did not seem to me to be so very much of a meeting. Possibly because the borer has not gained much ground this year. [Passenger's check: Chicago to Toledo]
