This MQP reviews the history of nonstandard analysis, how it can be used, and its applications in basic analysis. The process of completing many proofs and exercises gave way to a new understanding of how nonstandard analysis can be extended and applied to different areas of mathematics. Hyperreals and infinitesimals are also reviewed.
