Damage detection using the wavelet approach

Public

Structures become short-lived, not because we lack the technology or funding to repair them, but rather structural custodians cannot easily assess damage to said structures. Our goal is to devise a method of damage detection that would be most appropriate for our experimental model. Using computer simulations, we devised and tested this method using pregenerated signals that represented damage to structures. Then, we used our proven method to read experimental data and detect damage in the experimental structure.
