Islam in America: An Examination of America's Muslim Youth
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerThe prejudices that many Americans have against Muslims are not based on an objective understanding of Islam. In fact, both Islam and the United States were founded on the same principles of equality and universal acceptance. The current generation of young American Muslims and the roles they will assume in mainstream American society will have an enormous impact upon the future relationship between America and the Muslim world. Muslim citizens must be treated equally. It is the intent of this project to examine aspects of life for Muslim youth in American mainstream society in an effort to promote the importance of cross-cultural understanding of this issue.
