Modifying the SCSI/FIBRE channel block size

Public

The goal of this project, sponsored by General Dynamics, was to improve efficiency of a Fibre Channel system supporting a Storage Area Network. The MQP group modified the Linux SCSI device drivers to permit transfer of larger disk block sizes over the Fibre Channel. This work included modification to the Linux kernel and the Host Bus Adapter connected to the Fibre Channel. This effort provides valuable insight into how encryption could be added to this Storage Area Network configuration.
