PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerThis project, sponsored by the Osservatorio Casa of Venice, Italy, assessed the non-resident housing market within the historic center of Venice. Data collection included web searches, solicitations of real estate firms directly and through scenarios, integration of previous data (utility usages, hotel registrations) and surveys of tourists. The final report established the locations and costs per square meter of over two hundred non-resident rentals. Recommendations included suggestions for integrating official police and tax databases, further studies of the non-resident housing market throughout the entire year, and an investigation of the resident rental market.
