Perceived barriers to mixed-mode ventilation in Melbourne commercial buildings
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerThis project was completed for CSIRO to identify perceived barriers to implementing mixed-mode ventilation systems in commercial buildings in Melbourne, Australia. Use of the systems will reduce energy consumption, thereby lowering CO production. Interviews were conducted with designers and decision makers and building occupants were surveyed about workplace conditions and environmental concern. It was determined that there is potential for the use of mixed-mode ventilation in Melbourne, but many barriers do exist, particularly lack of information about the system.
