SUNDAY JAN. 30 1949 60 below zero last night. Bill Cade gone to Alabama on business for French & Hecht. Elise & I did not go to church. We took Lee and the kiddies to the Outing Club for dinner Harry Getz sent me a book John Goff's Mill by George Woodbury It is intensley interesting and tell how George Woodbury went to Bedford New Hampshire and rebuilt an old mill and water power there and now makes furniture all by himself.
