18554 Wednesday, August 19, 1931 Clear/Cloudy Elise, the Vollmers & I left Intervale at 910 This morning. I don't like leaving mother and Amy and I love Intervale. We drove to Portsmith and then to Little Boars Head where st stopped at the Geo. Mackays Rye Beach We were persuaded to spend the night. I went in for a swim at the Beach Club. the water 66° was wonderful. George drove me around quite a little seeing many of the places. He wants me to get a place here. Talked to Betty Whittall on the phone. She said they had just gotten in from Marblehead after a hard rainy trip. I said we would stop to see them tomorrow afternoon. She said Percy had to go to Worcester tomorrow but would be there Friday. The MacKays are entertaining 20 for dinner. Mr & Mrs Erving I had Mrs Turner, Mrs Walker Mr & Mrs DAvid Francis (Portsmith) & Miss Scott Mr & Mrs Franciscus at dinner Me & Mrs Scott Dr. & Mrs Walker At bridge I won a prize Misses Scott a model of a bed warmer Mr & Mrs Wiggins Mrs Whitmore Mr & Mrs Turner Fine party.
