Fenton's oxidation treatment of contaminated groundwater at SRSNE, Inc
PublicThis project evaluated a pilot-scale Fenton's oxidation treatment system used to chemically treat contaminated groundwater at the Solvents Recovery Site of New England, Inc. (SRSNE), in Southington, CT. Fenton's oxidation is an advanced oxidation process that employs Fenton's reagent, a combination of hydrogen peroxide and iron. The Fenton's oxidation pilot-scale system was operated to determine optimum operating conditions, and collect kinetic rate data. The kinetic rate data was used to design the full-scale Fenton's oxidation system.
