Automated Stent Inspection System
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerWe designed an automated inspection system to evaluate the quality of Guidant drug eluting stents using state-of-the-art machine vision technologies. The system checked the stent for coating defects, classified any defects found, saved images of each defect, and recommended a PASS/FAIL result to the operator for approval. The inspection system we developed was one of several inspection systems evaluated by Guidant.
