Spiritual implications of environmentalism

open in viewerThis project centers on the ties between religion and environmentalism in the modern world. Most religious doctrines show sensitivity toward the environment and our Earth and people of these faiths, including Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and Buddhism should become more aware of these teachings. Through interviews with local religious figures and work with Massachusetts Interfaith Power and Light, this project will examine where local religious establishments stand on environmental concerns. Future WPI projects should be pursued to determine the next step for spreading environmental concern throughout the religious community, specifically by using the resources of Massachusetts Interfaith Power and Light.
