Evaluation and design of best management practice for Salisbury Pond

Public

This project details the selection process and design of a detention basin as the best management practice to mitigate loadings of sediment into Salisbury Pond. Several BMPs were analyzed for appropriateness of use at Salisbury Pond, with location constraints as the limiting factors. Water quality measurements were conducted to determine properties of the influent water. Dry weather flow readings were collected and a hydrologic model was developed for wet weather flow. Basin specifications and cost estimates are included. We recommend that further studies be conducted to gather data regarding sediment settling properties and wet weather flow.
