A Study in Maritime Piracy

open in viewerThis MQP evaluated four policies aiming to eliminate piracy off the Somali coast. The rise in piracy caused global concern; in 2009, more than 20 warships from several nations were deployed on anti-piracy missions. The Pirate Fisherman Model was built using system dynamics, and allowed for simulating, testing, and comparison of the four policies.
