Waste metals management and recovery

Public

This Major Qualifying Project attempted to determine a cost-effective method for both the disposal of non-hazardous metal cladding sludge and the management of stormwater descending upon the metals recycling area of the Texas Instruments' Attleboro facility. Materials testing and metals separation of metallic waste sludges aided in determining alternatives to land disposal. Permanent structures as well as suitable coverings were considered to determine an acceptable stormwater management practice. This information was utilized in developing suitable alternatives to current practices.
