Role of Vimentin in dynamic stretching of fibroblast cells
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerIn this project, an experiment was conducted in order to examine the effects of vimentin on cellular dynamics. The response and relaxation process of normal fibroblast cells and vimentin knockdown cells were tested and compared. The result shows that the vimentin-knockdown fibroblasts are much easier to change orientation than the normal fibroblasts. However, the contamination problem could affect the accuracy of the experiment, and it is advised for future researchers to refine the protocol in order to eliminate contamination which might lead to more accurate results.
