Saturday, August 7, 1937 Still hot and sticky. Elise & I had crab meat salad yesterday at Putnam & Thurstons restaurant ad we got a bad case of ptomaine poisoning. Both of us we up nearly allnight and today felt weak & uncomfortable. So I had to call off a lunch at the Boat Club to see Richard Mitchell, andwalk with Alec Bullock Irving Clark & Rob Mason and a dinner in Whitinsville at the Sidney Masons. Mary Allen and her father called int he morning.
