This project facilitates preliminary cost estimation of new dormitory buildings for university planners and contractors. It integrates a database with a 3D digital model. The database prompts the user for the size and type of construction and in turn produces a cost report using the twelve CSI UniFormat divisions. The database simplifies the project preliminary design and improves communication among project parties.
