The Infinite Little Box: How Limitations Encourage Creativity
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerThis IQP consists of my work on a Perlenspiel game called Whither which I prototyped during a class taught by Professor Brian Moriarty and a look at how limitations can lead to creativity. The first version of Whither was coded and designed by Ryan Melville and myself and I continued on my own with advice from Professor Moriarty. The game emphasized limitations which opened artistic possibilities. I then researched other arts which also utilized restrictions to inspire their design. I found that limitations often encouraged creativity.
