Public DepositedFriday, Devember 6, 1940 [Headlines: Chicago Daily Tribune; War news] Experimental Mens meeting starting at 9 this morning and lasting till 9 in the evening. I have been responsible for the program and most of the work. Charley Wiman presided in the morning. I did in afternoon and evening. First on program was the subject "Second Hand Automobile Tires on Implements" I presented the subject while Frank Jones Maurice Martins, Beo Kelley and Leonard Neighbor each wentinto dfferent phases of the subject. Walter Soderstrom and Ed Larson had the subject "Individual Castings Costs". Hy Bornstein "Stresses and Strains" 102 at lunch at the Le Claire. In afternoon Chas Youngberg Jr. "The JB Harrow". Then all went to the Harvester Works in East Moline where Stanley Hill talked on "Mounted Ensilage Cutter". Then a trip thru part of the factory and a visit to the Experimental Department. "A Completely Equipped Shop". Dinner at the hotel 120 present then picture "Melody Comes to Town" and "Whats New in Implements" finished a strenuous day. [Headlines:Daily Times; War news]
