Scanning Array for EMI Detection
Public DepositedDownloadable Content
open in viewerTeradyne uses an EMI scanning array in their design testing of large scale PCBs. The current scanning process is inefficient due to the small size of the scanner relative to the PCB under test. Currently the scanner must be monitored and moved manually throughout the process to fully scan the entirety of the PCB. The objective for our project is to design a 5x5 loop array that Teradyne can use to create their own larger scale scanner for the future. We utilized our experience with Altium and Ansys HFSS to simulate and design a prototype of the scanning array.
