Thursday, August 27, 1931 Clear/Rain picture for Amy of myself A welcome thunder shower in evening. In field in afternoon with 4 row motor cultivator with Carl Strandlund & Stanley Madill Penetrated well in hard ground. Found- 1. Not enough lift. 2. Too much wear on rear cross shaft & too much deflection. 3. Need quick adjustment for depth. 4. Longer lifting chains for more depth. 5. Prestretched springs Karl Vollmer tested my eyes.
