open in viewerThe project topic is the evaluation of the implementation of Performance-based Design (PBD) in Melbourne, Australia, working with the sponsor, the Metropolitan Fire Brigade. The evaluation came from a series of case studies performed on buildings in Melbourne, as well as interviews of engineers, building owners, and others involved in the building process. From this data, the make recommendations for further research and changes to Melbourne's implementation of PBD to improve safety and communication.
