Wachusett Brewing Company Process Heat Exchanger Feasibility Study
公开The Wachusett Brewing Company utilizes a propylene glycol coolant loop to chill their beer. This coolant loop requires the use of refrigeration units. The brewery also has a carbon dioxide bulk storage tank which is in reasonable proximity to the glycol storage vessel. A Wachusett Brewery representative approached our team with the idea of installing a process heat exchanger between the two systems as a cost saving mechanism. The team proceeded to evaluate the physical and economic feasibility of constructing such a system. Upon determining that the system could be built, the team designed a control system and priced the exchanger and ancillary equipment. The team then recommended that Wachusett Brewing Company consider constructing the system based upon the outcome of our analysis.
