Energy from Waste in Brent
PúblicoLondon’s waste production is unsustainable. As an alternative to landfilling non-recyclable, non-reusable waste, energy-from-waste (EfW) recovery can be implemented in order to maximize sustainability. The following report supplies an overview of the various EfW technologies, conveys the political, environmental, economic, and social implications of its development and lastly, provides recommendations for EfW’s application in Wembley City. Overcoming the negative public perception of incineration and other EfW technologies will be a major driver for the technologies’ progress.
- This report represents the work of one or more WPI undergraduate students submitted to the faculty as evidence of completion of a degree requirement. WPI routinely publishes these reports on its website without editorial or peer review.
