2005 FSAE suspension design and analysis

Public

The objective of this project was to design, manufacture, test and tune a performance oriented suspension for the 2005 Formula SAE racecar. All suspension components were designed and modeled using ProEngineer Wildfire 2.0. Finite element analysis was used all in components in order to optimize each component by reducing weight while maintaining strength. The suspension components were integrated with chassis, drive train, and controls. Once designs were finalized, each component was carefully machined manually or through the use of computer-aided manufacturing.
