open in viewerSponsored by the Civic Exchange, the objective of this study was to determine the levels of air pollution contributed by air traffic in Hong Kong through the calculation of an in depth pollution inventory. In addition, the effects of and possible solutions to the air traffic pollution problem were identified by analyzing air traffic statistics, general pollution studies, and data from on-site interviews. The results helped create an understanding of the nature of aircraft pollution effects on Hong Kong's ecology, economy and health.
