Student Work
Redesigning the Posterior Pediatric Walker
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerCerebral Palsy is a disease that impacts the motor functions of an individual, often limiting movement. Assistive devices called posterior walkers aid children with cerebral palsy in walking. However, these devices often limit individuals socially, restrict mobility, and are difficult to maneuver. Posterior walkers also are difficult to collapse and adjust making it hard to transport them. Through interviews and research it was determined that this project would aim to create a design that solves these issues and encourages walking with proper posture.
