In pursuit of a more inclusive approach to reasoning within AI systems, automation of medicine, carried out through methodical processes, have been implemented in more recent years. These systems have helped in executing tasks more efficiently in the healthcare industry, although outcomes that result from the use of AI contradict ground truth at times. Several aspects of AI usage factor into the problem of programmed unfairness and discrimination. Taking into account the obstacles at hand, targeting the root causes of this ingrained bias is imperative in resolving the unethical issues presented.
