A new technology is currently receiving much attention in the nuclear energy research field. This technology is the Modular Pebble Bed Reactor, which offers operational and safety advantages over other types of nuclear power plants. The MPBR is investigated and its fuel elements are modeled using Fluent, a computational, thermal-hydraulics analysis tool.
