YR1101: Project DC to DC converters baseplate mechanical load specification
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerDC to DC converters are electronic devices, which are supplied with a power source such as batteries or another type of power source and deliver another regulated voltage level as an output. As with any power electronic circuitry, DC/DC converter do not transform all input power to output power; a portion of input power is dissipated as heat. In order to dissipate that heat very often these converters are encapsulated, injected with thermo compound and also have a base plate, which is used for customer assembly to their systems or to have a heatsink attached to it.
