Production of biologically active CDK inhibitors p21 and p27 as TAT-fusion proteins
ÖffentlichCyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs) are proteins that facilitate entrance of a cell through its cell cycle. Proteins p21 and p27 are CDK-inhibitors that arrest the cell cycle at the G0-G1 phase, and induce cell migration. The purpose of this MQP was to construct an expression system for biologically active p21 and p27. A TAT-mediated protein expression method was utilized for expression, and a HepG2 migration assay was developed to assay biological function. The data showed that recombinant proteins TAT-21 and TAT-27 were indeed biologically active in the migration assay.
