Structural evaluation and design of airport pavements

Public

Both Millinocket Municipal Airport and Logan International Airport are expecting increases in air traffic. Millinocket is projected to be serving B-737s and C-130s for cargo purposes. Logan will occasionally serve diverted A-380s. These airport pavements were evaluated to determine whether they could support these loads. Runway improvements were determined necessary for Millinocket. Several structures were designed. The structure containing P-209A RAP is recommended. The pavements at Logan International Airport were determined to be sufficient to serve the A-380.
