Missile attitude control system design

Public

In this project, an inverted pendulum on a moving cart was built to simulate a missile attitude control system. A servomotor and amplifier modeled the trust vectoring of a missile while incremental encoders emulated feedback information on the position and velocity of a rocket. The controller was designed in Simulink software, while real-time stabilization of the cart and pendulum used dSPACE software with its DS 1102 interface board. The system was able to stabilize itself when subjected to small disturbances while accounting for positioning commands.
