Environmentally conscious and sustainable manufacturing that also helps improve the financial bottom line is the next business evolution. Southern Container Corporation wants to be a part of the evolution at the Devens Industrial Ecology Project through the implementation of a program of guidelines called EcoStar. The project assisted Southern Container with the implementation of EcoStar by addressing factory water usage, reducing scrap levels, involving suppliers, and sharing information with the community.
