Autism Speaks in Rabat and Casablanca
PúblicoConteúdo disponível para baixar
open in viewerAutism Speaks has initiatives to better understand the challenges families of children with autism in Morocco face, with the goal of promoting solutions for their difficulties. The project collected data on the issues and challenges caregivers of families of children with autism faced in Moroccan society. I interviewed families in Rabat and Casablanca. From the results a key finding was that a large percentage of interviewed families did not receive autism diagnosis for their children before the age of two, which is recommended by Autism Speaks. I sent the data collected to Autism Speaks and presented my findings from the results and offered recommendations to NGOs and Autism Speaks for policies they could implement to better service children with autism.
