Wind Barrier Development for Higher Ground Farm
公开可下载的内容
open in viewerUrban rooftop farming benefits cities through energy conservation, storm water management, and increasing urban food security. However, crops grown on urban rooftops are exposed to harsher winds than their ground-level counterparts, resulting in reduced crop yield and profit for farmers. This project designed and built wind barriers to protect crops on Higher Ground Farm, a rooftop farm in Boston, MA. A user manual for the barriers has also been created to serve as a resource for other urban rooftop farmers.
