open in viewerThe overall objective of this Major Qualifying Project was to design a barcoding system to offer a financially viable complement to Emuges current SAP Inventory Management system. The project analyzed the significance of fulfillment errors within inside-out supply chain management and its affect on customer satisfaction. The impact of increasing operational integration with a global parent company was studied. The methods used included direct observation, interviews, problem decomposition, and financial analysis. The results found that Emuge can deploy existing verification modules already within their SAP system on mobile computers to reduce fulfillment errors. Conclusions drawn indicate the company can increase knowledge of their market, customer satisfaction and profits.
