NASA scientists need a way to simulate the instruction execution on an autonomous space rover. Using the programming languages Maude and JLambda, we built a simulation environment that provides tools for dynamic interaction between a graphical user interface and logical systems representing state variables of a rover, specifically its position and heading, robotic arm heading, and battery level. Users can add goals for the rover to achieve and specify their order and the time interval during which they must execute.
