Exploring Perceptions of Seasonal Calendars in a Time of Environmental Change
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerAs climate change alters the environment, changes to the seasons people use to describe the world are forcing calendars out of sync with natural events. Our work, a pilot for the CALENDARS Project, explored viticulturists' seasonal perceptions. We developed an online calendar tool and used it in interviews with viticulturists in New Zealand and North America, finding that their seasonal perceptions are changing significantly. Our findings demonstrate the feasibility of our methods and tools for the longer-term parent project.
