Our research examines the impact of climate change on the winemaking industry in the Rhône Valley of France. The objective is to understand the challenges posed to winemakers by climate change and propose solutions to address these issues, ranging from agricultural practices to consumer preferences. We employed semi-structured interviews, ethnography, and archival research to identify the industry's key challenges and potential solutions. Our research revealed the environmental impacts of climate change on wine production, changes in alcohol content, and the effect on the traditional French concept of terroir. We identified several solutions that can assist wineries of various sizes in combating the effects of climate change including sustainable practices, innovative agricultural techniques, and advanced production methods.
